2014 pike place market art
michael and andy urion, metal decor artists
Through trial and error, we have consistently been improving our craft, starting as a hobby in 1992 with wax, paper, clay, wood, cement and now metal sculptures as a medium.
Our metal wall art is thin, making it lighter than it looks, and very easy to wall install. It is either colored with either our unique blend of translucent paint, or torching where as the metal heats up it changes color from steel silver too gold, purple, blue and pink.
Every piece is carefully and artistically etched with a beautifull light reflective pattern that accents the piece. Each piece is coated with either urethane or laquer for a permanent protected indoor finish. Our artwork is available for viewing or purchase at Pike Place Market, the largest attraction in the Northwest, and at galleries or stores in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Indiana, and Connecticut.
Our artwork has been purchased by people from all over the world, who have said that it is very beautifull and that they have never seen any other metal art like it.
We are from Juneau, Alaska and are currently living and working in Seattle and Tacoma, Washington. Both of us have interests in art, music, outdoors, fishing, skiiing, snowboarding, computers, animal rights, pollution containment, and politics.
